Sevilla
have been repeatedly interested and repeatedly bid for Osasuna
center-back Alejandro Arribas for some time as they attempt to solidify
their backline.
Osasuna are not willing to sell their defender, as
they feel they have added several fantastic additions during this summer
transfer window and see Arribas as a central part of their project.
After receiving several inquiries into the price for
Arribas, Osasuna have informed Sevilla that they are not willing to let him go and even if he will leave, their asking price must be met.
However, during the negotiations, Osasuna made their own inquiry as
to the availability of Sevilla defender, Juan Cala, who has made very
little impact, just 10 appearances, since coming back from loan with AEK
Athens last season.
The 23-year-old Cala has informed Sevilla that he would favour a move
to Osasuna as he desires consistent playing time, something he will
obviously not receive at Sevilla, as they are looking at purchasing
players for his position.
