John Obi Mikel has declared his willingness to reunite with his former
Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba at Galatasaray.
The Turkish champions
are looking to bolster their midfield options, though, with the likes of Wesley
Sneijder and Hamit Altintop already in the side, the club is looking forward to more option in midfield and has a result of that look towards premier league particularly Chelsea and specifically speaking, Mikel.
The hope that he will be reuniting with his former friend Didier Drogba might
convince the Nigerian to go to Istanbul.
With Chelsea having good and more options in the role he play, with the likes of
Lampard and Ramires and the blues getting closer to the capture of Marco van Ginkel
(only personal terms is left), with Essien coming back from season-long loan at
Real Madrid and another shock move to the Bridge in person of Danielle De Rossi. Mikel will surely be seeking game time.
As a result of this, he will possibly consider a move to the turkish club which may guarantee him playing time.
Throughout all his time at London, John Obi Mikel was counted as a
back-up for Lampard, Essien, Makelele and more never got the respect
that he wanted with his 5-and-a-half year goal drought, but with all
that, Mikel hasn’t failed to impress at the Confederations Cup (even
scored a goal).
What do you think about the move to Galatasaray?
