Manchester City are now in pole position to land arsenal target Stevan Jovetic on a fee believe to be around £27 million.
Manchester City who is reported to have agreed to sign Alvaro Negredo 2 days ago has now turn towards Jovetic for a possible move. However is was reported that Sevilla claimed that there has been no communication between the two clubs regarding Negredo's transfer and at that, rule him out of a possible move.
Last year Manchester City show a lot of interest in Jovetic but later in 2013 their interest wax cold. This make Arsenal to move in and were some how destined to sign the forward, but the fire of the news only rage for couple of times and it also went cold so as to give way to their new target Gonzalo Higuain. But it was also reported lately that Manchester City has rekindled their interest in the Fiorentina man, undoubtly a major blow to Arsenal if they fail to sign Higuain.
The sun reports that "It is City who are moving into pole position to sign the striker, having sold
Carlos Tevez to Juventus. plus they can cope with his basic wage demands
of £120,000 a week.
"Jovetic has made it clear he wants to leave Fiorentina."
Due to Tevez's signing by Juventus lately, Manchester City is looking forward to good replacement for the powerful striker, and with no doubts Jovetic is the one. His talent, potential, and ability to drop deep behind the
striker make him a natural fit in the place of Tevez, and he would be a
high quality addition for City.
With fiorentina agreeing a deal with Bayern Munich for Mario Gomez, it is certain Jovetic will leave.
It is reported that Liverpool too are interested, but all this will come to no avail if fiorentina asking price is not met.
