Liverpool
are reportedly keen in bringing Hellas Verona star Jorginho
to Anfield after falling short in their pursuit for Shakhtar Donetsk
midfield maestro Henrikh Mkhitaryan after it was reported that Borussia
Dortmund is expected to land the Armenian international on a deal
believe to be around £20m.
Boss Brendan Rodgers is, therefore, looking at a considerably cheaper
option in playmaker Jorge Luiz Frello Filho with
Liverpool ready to make a bid worth £7.5m
The Brazilian-born 21-year-old, who has featured for Italy at
under-21 level, has also attracted interest from Arsenal and AC Milan
after helping Verona win promotion to Serie A last season.
Rodgers has already been busy in the transfer market so far this
summer, bringing in Luis Alberto (Sevilla), Iago Aspas (Celta Vigo),
Simon Mignolet (Sunderland) and free agent and former Manchester City
defender Kolo Toure.
