Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has clearly stated that fabregas is happy at barcelona and reinstated that the former arsenal player does not want to leave Barcelona made a £26million bid for the midfielder on Monday, who has failed to secure
a regular starting spot at Barcelona
since returning to the club from Arsenal
two years ago.
However, the current La Liga champions insisted the 26-year-old was not for
sale and Vilanova has now confirmed that Fabregas is not wanting to move on
either.
Vilanova speaking he said: "I'm aware there have been offers, I had a conversation
with him and he told me that he wanted to continue here and that he didn't
want to go to another big club.
"He wants to succeed here."
The Spain international is currently finalising his move to Bayern Munich
after the European champions reached an agreement with Barca last weekend to
sign the 22-year-old for a fee which could rise to 25million euros (£21.6m).
This will be a major blow to Manchester United manager David Moyes who had been confident of making the former
Arsenal captain his first signing since taking charge at Old Trafford.
More good news for Barca came with today's announcement that midfielder Sergio
Busquets has signed a contract extension which ties him to the Nou Camp
until June 2018.
The new deal also has an option to be extended for a further season up until
2019, while the buyout clause for the Spain player remains at 150 million
euros (£130m).
