Chelsea are ready to lure Rooney to Stamford Bridge if he really want to move.
Since the arrival of former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho, he has made Manchester United star Wayne Rooney his number one
target, but is refusing to up the opening offer of around £20million
made on Wednesday.
However, Manchester United is not ready to sell, but chelsea can pull a move to the string by offering a wooping £56million four-year-deal for possible move.
Rooney currently takes home around £250,000-a-week at United, but
Chelsea are ready to boost that to £270,000-a-week on a contract until
2017.
If the reported bid is to find true that means the striker would be handsomely rewarded for leaving United,
where he is known to be ‘shocked and angry’ at his treatment by new
manager David Moyes.
With Arsenal also keen on the player, and could offer another option
with manager Arsene Wenger admitting the Gunners could also put together
an attractive wage package.Chelsea will have to quickly make the move.
‘Rooney is under contract and has two years to go so it’s United who make the decision,’But we would not have a problem with the wages of Rooney.’ said Wenger.
Rooney is believed to favour a transfer to Chelsea, and is expected to
meet with his agent later this week to discuss what happens next.
