New Ajax signing Bojan Krkic has open up and lament his
disappointment at the stagnation of his career over the past two
seasons, having failed to impress at either Roma or AC Milan, and feels
his spell with both club is devastating.
The 22-year-old sign for the Dutch champions last week, in
turn ending his two year spell in Italy, a time where he now feels he
could’ve done better.
The former Barcelona man made the loan move to Roma in 2011,
following former Barca midfielder Luis Enrique, who had been appointed
manager of the Giallorossi, but failed to make the grade, and last
season spent his time on loan at San Siro.
Despite making 33 appearances for Roma, the striker only managed 19
for Milan, and only scored a total of 10 goals during his time in Italy,
and looking back, the attacker now regrets his career choices.
Speaking to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf he was quoted saying " My choices for Roma and AC Milan were wrong. Perhaps I should have already opted for the Eredivisie back in 2011.
“I am a young player and I need to get regular first team action. I
cannot make progress if I only get 18 games or so per season. I will get
the chance to take the next step in my development at Ajax" he added.
