It was reported that Barcelona are interested in signing Chelsea defender
David Luiz and as reportedly make a bid reported to be around £30m.
However, Chelsea is not ready to sell him. though some sources claim that there is a 50/50 chance that
he will remain at Stamford Bridge or leave.
Barcelona are trying to bring young and energetic defenders into their squad so as to fill in when their ageing defenders retire.
Seeing what David played in the Confederation Cup, they see him as the ideal recruit for their defence.
Though with the likes of Puyol in Barcelona's pack, they still want young highly rated and good centre back.
The whopping bid made by Barca has done very little to interest Chelsea.
They insist that they are not selling the centre-back, or at the very
least, Barcelona must significantly raise their bid in order to force
the London club to part ways with one of their most prized assets.
Luiz is fan's favourite at Chelsea, and the fans will hope that
their club remain steadfast in their determination not to sell the
Brazilian.
