It is reported that Arsenal is set to weigh up a bid
for Sevilla’s highly rated young midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The 20-year-old youngster has been credited highly for his imposing and
striking performances the previous season with Sevilla and has caught
attention from the European giants Real Madrid and Chelsea.
He was
bought from Lens for an undisclosed fee, reported to be in a range of €3
million.
It is understood that Sevilla has been battling hard to keep their young star while Arsene Wenger has stepped into the market for the highly rated defensive midfielder. Although, Real Madrid understandably have calmed their interest in the midfielder as they have started aiming Asier Illarramendi who seems to be their likely target.
Kondogbia is also well reputed for his versatility to play in three
different positions which are Central Midfield, Central Defensive
Midfield and as a Left Full Back.
