The latest news
reaching us is that Jovetic may in the summer be an Arsenal player.
“...According
to the respected Fifa Agent, Di Domenico, Arsenal have already agreed terms to
bring the 23-year-old to north London, after snubbing interest from Juventus.
The Gunners, along
with their domestic rival Manchester City, have been heavily linked with a move
for Jovetic over the past few months and according to FIFA agent Di Domenico,
Arsene Wenger and co. are the favourite to sign the 23-year-old. Jovetic was
among the possible options for Juventus, but my information is that the boy has
already given the go ahead to move to Arsenal,’ said Di Comenico.
Di Comenico is one of the most well-known
football agents in Italy, and enjoys close links with Juventus, Fiorentina and As
Roma, with whom he has done business in recent years.”
Since the
departure of Robin van Persie to Manchester United, Arsenal have lacked
firepower in their striking department. Olivier Giroud might have been reliable
in front of the goal but there is no able back-up for the France international.
The arrival of
Jovetic will arguably provide the North Londoners with the much-required
prowess and depth upfront.
Jovetic’s pace and
dribbling prowess will add a new dimension to Arsenal’s play, although the lad
will still need to work on his crossing skills.
The Montenegro can
play all along the attacking line and has been in scintillating form for
Fiorentina this season, scoring 12 times and producing 4 assists in just 24
league appearances.
Nevertheless, it
has to be noted that there has been no official confirmation regarding
Jovetic’s possible transfer to Arsenal yet. With the summer transfer
window approaching, rumour mill is in overdrive and therefore, it will be
premature to make assumptions how Jovetic can change the wind at the Emirates
before at-least either club confirm the deal.
